Nixon cites fiscal discipline, disaster preparedness among top accomplishments

In this interview with KRCG in Jefferson City, outgoing Gov. Jay Nixon talks about what he considered to be the biggest accomplishments during his two terms, including disaster preparedness. Nixon notes the increasing numbers of tornado safe rooms.

"We now have 193 tornado safe rooms."

Nixon also offered some advice to his successor Eric Greitens and the Republican legislature on education, suggesting that it avoid quick fixes like putting money into private schools and taking it away from public schools.
