Suspect on the loose following shooting death of Springfield man

On June 10, 2021, at 4:26 p.m., Springfield Police were dispatched to 1403 N. Broadway after a 911 caller reported that a male subject was shot. When officers arrived, they found a male who had suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound. The male was transported to a local hospital where he began receiving treatment. On June 19, 2021, the male victim died.

The victim is Travis D. Rogers, a 44-year-old male from Springfield, MO. Officers have notified Mr. Rogers’ next of kin.






 

A suspect has been identified but has not yet been located or arrested.

Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).

This incident marks the twelfth homicide investigated by SPD in 2021.
