Two Gentry, Arkansas residents were killed in a collision between boats 7:40 a.m. today on Table Rock Lake, three quarters of a mile west of Point 24.
According to the Highway Patrol report, an unknown factor caused a 1993 Ranger 392V driven by Ted S. Dossett, 55, Gentry, Arkansas to cross the path of a 2018 Bass Cat Caracal driven by William B. Ward, 65, Shell Knob, with the Ward vessel striking the the front part of the Dossett vessel.
Dossett and a 14-year-old boy, also of Gentry, Arkansas were pronounced dead at the scene by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearingen at 9:05 a.m.
The fatalities were the fourth and fifth boating fatalities this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
