A Springfield man was killed and a 16-year-old Exeter girl seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash 6:05 p.m. Friday on Farm Road 2175, five miles west of Exeter.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Cody J. Sanders, 25, Springfield, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:45 p.m.
The passenger, a 16-year-old, was flown to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
The fatality was the 74th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
