A Hollister woman was killed and two people injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:44 p.m. Sunday on Emerald Point Drive, three miles south of Hollister.
According to the Highway Patrol report, an EZ Go golf cart driven by Carol M. Rhodes, 58, Des Moines, Iowa, was driving along Emerald Point Drive when Rhodes lost control and the cart overturned, ejecting her and both passengers.
A passenger, Donna H. Young, 75, Hollister, was pronounced dead at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, at 9:30 p.m.
Rhodes and the other passenger, Sandra J. Harris, 68, Grimes, Iowa, were taken to Cox with serious injuries.
