...Light Wintry Precipitation Followed By Accumulating Snow...

.A light wintry mix of precipitation will spread from northwest to
southeast across the region this afternoon and tonight as a low
pressure system approaches from the southwest. Snow will then
develop from southwest to northeast across the area on Wednesday
and may be heavy at times along and north of the Interstate 44
corridor. A wintry mix will remain possible Wednesday across
south-central Missouri.

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing rain expected.
  Total ice accumulations of a light glaze. For the Winter Storm
  Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6
  inches possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east central
  and southwest Missouri.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening
  to 6 AM CST Wednesday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from
  Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible
power outages.
