Springfield pedestrian struck, killed by car on 65

A Springfield man was struck by a car and killed 8:07 p.m. on U. S. 65, three miles north of Springfield.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Christopher J. Rice, 27, Buffalo, traveled off the roadway and struck Timothy J. Williams, 55, Springfield, who was standing next to a 2018 Ram 5500.








Williams was pronounced dead at 9 p.m. by Greene County Medical Investigator Noah Cross.

The fatality was the 10th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
