Lanny Jackson is no longer considered missing. On Sept. 5, the body of Jackson was discovered in a conservation area in Douglas County, Missouri. No foul play is suspected in his death.

The Springfield Police Department is investigating a report of a missing and endangered person and is asking for the public’s assistance. Lanny D. Jackson, 79, went missing from his home in the 1900 block of E. Ridgewood Dr. in Springfield as of 11 a.m. Aug. 27.
