A Lebanon woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 8:20 a.m. today on I-44 Westbound at the 75.6 mile marker.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Abdulrehim S. Burshi, 31, Dallas, Texas, veered into the lane in front of a 2013 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Mitch R. Smith, 33, Lebanon, to avoid striking a vehicle that pulled out from the on ramp. The Smith vehicle struck the Burshi vehicle.
A passenger in the Smith vehicle, Tina M. Smith, 40, Lebanon, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
