Three injured as sleeping driver causes head-on collision in Webster County, Rogersville woman airlifted to Mercy

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:55 a.m. Monday on Route KK, north of Route PP in Webster County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Salvador A. Fonseca, 25, Rogersville, driving a 2000 Ford F-150, fell asleep, crossed the center line and struck a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada driven by Jeanette R. Grubbs, 43, Rogersville.

Grubbs was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.

Fonseca was treated for minor injuries a passenger in his vehicle, Stephen G. Howerton, 33, Springfield for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
