A Mount Vernon man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:15 a.m. today on southbound U. S. 65, four miles south of Ozark.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1986 Peterbilt driven by Preston P. Eagles, 54, Mount Vernon, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, became airborne and separated from its towed unit before striking the ground.
Eagles was treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield,
