The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Southern Greene County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 759 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain causing
  minor flooding in Springfield. Around an inch of rain has already
  fallen in a short amount of time. This has resulted in minor
  flooding of poor drainage areas.

* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
  susceptible to the dangers of flooding.

  Strafford...                      Brookline...
  Glidewell...                      Ebenezer...
  Bassville...                      Turners...
  Galloway...

This advisory includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Scenic Avenue in southwest Springfield...
Route C at The Little Sac River north of Strafford...
East Buena Vista Road at Ward Branch south of Springfield...
Highway 125 just south of Highway 60...
and Farm Road 175 at The Sac River 5 miles southwest of Fair Grove.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
