Three people drowned after two kayaks capsized at Crabtree Cove on Stockton Lake Tuesday.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2023 Tahoma kayak capsized sometime during the day due to rough water, killing Melodie Roberts, 18, South Lyon, Michigan and Sonny D. Lewis, 18, Milo. Roberts' body was recovered Wednesday, with Lewis' body recovered Friday.
A 2023 Charger kayak also capsized, with Iziah Lewis, 20, Milo, drowning.
The drownings were the second, third and fourth this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
