A Blue Eye man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 5:05 p.m. Sunday on U. S. 65 three miles south of Hollister.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Cadillac SRX driven by Jean Lachapelle, 76, Blue Eye, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the right side of the roadway, crossed the southbound lanes and overturned.
Lachapelle was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Deputy Coroner Larry Summers at 5:16 p.m.
The fatality was the 10th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
