(From the Springfield Police Department)On Monday last week, officers responded to a report of people in the area going through mailboxes in the 3300 block of E. Linwood.
Leonard Britton, 20, was located by officers and found in possession of stolen identification and controlled substances in addition to a small improvised explosive device. The Fire Department Bomb Squad responded and safely removed the explosive.
Britton was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail for forgery, possession of a controlled substance, trafficking in stolen identities, and unlawful possession of an illegal weapon.
