Disturbance call to Springfield Police results in DWI arrest

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of E Battlefield in the early morning hours on Friday.

 
As officers arrived, Ilya Karachi, 28, left in his vehicle. Karachi fled from officers as they attempted to stop him for traffic violations and speeding. The vehicle was later spotted with Karachi driving erratically.

 
When the vehicle came to a stop, Karachi was taken into custody and booked into the Greene County Jail for driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and was cited for a number of traffic violations.
