Springfield police were dispatched to 2550 W. Mill at 8:18 P.M., on September 10, 2018, after a 911 caller stated a male subject had been shot at that location.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim outside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported by paramedics to Mercy Hospital and later died from his injuries.
The victim was identified as Anthony A. Correa, a 27-year-old male from Springfield. Next of kin notifications have been made for the victim.

A suspect has not been identified at this time.
Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-8477.
