A Fair Grove man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 8:48 p.m. Saturday on Farm Road 54, eight miles north of Springfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Robert E. Neil, 64, Fair Grove, failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway, struck a fence and overturned.
Greene County Deputy Coroner Michelle Waters pronounced Neil dead at the scene. The fatality was the 87th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
