An Everton teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident 6:24 a.m. today on I-44, 70.5 mile marker, two miles west of Springfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1994 Ford Mustang driven by Jacob D. Hunt, 18, Everton, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a cable barrier.
A passenger, Jacquelin D. Smith, 17, Everton, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
