(From the Springfield Police Department)On Saturday afternoon, officers responded to the report of kidnapping at the 900 block of W. Kearney. A victim reported his vehicle had been stolen with his elderly wife still in the vehicle.
Shortly after, officers received information that an elderly woman was lying on the side of the road near High and Golden. She was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Officers later located the stolen truck along with two children who had been reported missing in the 2800 block of N. Oakland.
Michelle Porter, 40, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail for elder abuse, kidnapping, and tampering.
