(From the Springfield Police Department)On Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:34 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to the 1600 block of South Meadowview Ave. regarding a single-vehicle crash.
A 2005 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 41-year-old Johnny Adam Boyd from Springfield, was traveling westbound on Stanford St. approaching Meadowview Ave.
Boyd lost control of his motorcycle and left the roadway, striking a wooden privacy fence. Mr. Boyd received significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he died on Friday, July 16th. Next of kin has been notified.
