Four residents hospitalized following Springfield house fire

Around 6:30 a.m. the Springfield Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 2000 block of South Lone Pine Avenue with reports of multiple residents still inside the home. 

Firefighters arrived to find the home with heavy smoke and fire conditions. They located four residents during search-and-rescue operations. All four were provided care by firefighters and EMS on scene and were taken to Cox and Mercy hospitals.

The fire remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it is available.
