Springfield Police searching for missing autistic teen

UPDATE: Jason Cerce was found safe and in good health at about 7:50 p.m. today. Thank you to all who asssited in the search.

Springfield police officers are asking for the public’s assistance to locate 13-year-old Jason Cerce. Jason is a black male, 5’10” tall and 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt possibly with Marvel superhero Black Panther on the front, black pants, black Nike shoes and a black backpack with a grey blanket inside it.

Jason was last seen walking southbound away from the 3000 block of S. Linden Ave.










He is autistic and suffers from reactive touch disorder, disruptive mood disorder and aspergers. Jason has also made suicidal comments.

Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call 911 or Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
