A Nixa man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 9:45 p.m. Tuesday on Route EE, one mile east of Highlandville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 GMC Sierra driven by Tyler W. Johnson, 45, Nixa, ran off the roadway on a curve, overturned, struck a tree and burned. Johnson was partially ejected was pronounced dead at the scene by Christian County Coroner Mandi Armitage at 10:45 p.m.
The fatality was the 49th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
