Boonville Avenue between Chestnut Expressway and Tampa Street will be closed overnight beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 for utility work associated with a streetscape project. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes. Boonville Avenue should reopen to traffic by 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, weather permitting.
This project will continue the streetscape improvements on Boonville Avenue. The project will include the construction of sidewalks, lighting, stormwater improvements, and gas and water main relocations. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of June. The project is funded through a Federal Transportation Enhancement Grant and the 1/8-Cent Transportation Sales Tax.
