Walnut Shade man drowns trying to rescue dog

 

A Walnut Shade man died trying to rescue a dog in Bull Creek,one mile west of Walnut Shade Thursday.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Paul M. Moriuchi, 76, was pronounced dead on the scene by Taney County Coroner Elijah Goodwin at 12:10 p.m.

The drowning was the first this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
