UPDATE: She has been located.
The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an endangered missing person.
Arukia Ganis, 2, is approximately 30-40 pounds and 2.5-3 feet tall with dark brown hair, bangs and pig tails. She was wearing removable leg braces.
Arukia Ganis is in the custody of the State of Missouri. She was last seen at 11:15 a.m., at Wonders of Wildlife with her parents, Frank Ganis, 36, and Arisha Caldwell, 33. Caldwell and Frank Ganis were seen on camera at 11:22 a.m., leaving Bass Pro with Arukia Ganis through an exit facing Campbell Ave.
The parents may have left in a silver Mercedes SUV with Vermont license plate, HFL245.
Frank Ganis is 190 pounds and 6 feet tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. Caldwell is 120 pounds and 5-foot-1 with blonde hair and greene eyes.
Anyone with information relating to the child’s whereabouts or the whereabouts of Caldwell or Frank Ganis should call 911 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
