(From the Springfield Police Department)On February 13, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Cherry Creek Apartments located at 2107 E. Cherry Street following a 911 caller stating a subject had been shot. When officers arrived, they located a male who had suffered a gunshot wound and was laying in the driveway. The male was pronounced deceased on scene.
The deceased male has been identified as Spencer Anderson, 34, from Springfield, Missouri. Next of kin notifications have been made to his family.
A suspect has not been identified at this time.
Detectives are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
This incident marks Springfield’s second homicide for 2022.
