Springfield City Council to resume regular meeting schedule beginning Monday

City Council will resume its regular meeting schedule of every other Monday evening, at 6:30 p.m., beginning Monday, April 6 and will continue to meet electronically via teleconferencing technology as indicated in the Mayor’s proclamation declaring a state of civil emergency and Stay-At-Home order.

Citizens wishing to sign up to speak at the April 6 Council meeting, or remove an item from the consent agenda are required to contact City Clerk Anita Cotter by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3. This can be done via an online form, by calling 417-864-1651 or by emailing acotter@springfieldmo.gov. The agenda is located here.

Citizens who have signed up with the City Clerk in accordance with the new rule will be provided the option to view the virtual meeting and participate electronically in Room 108 on the first floor of Historic City Hall. Physical distancing will be maintained.








Citizens who have experienced any of the following, will not be allowed inside City Hall:

• Flu-like symptoms
• Respiratory illness (cough, difficulty breathing)
• Fever
• Travelled in the past 14 days to an affected area
• Been exposed to someone who has travelled to an affected area
• Been exposed to someone who has been evaluated for the illness or confirmed illness

Citizens wishing to submit their comments rather than appear are asked to do so via an online form or by emailing acotter@springfieldmo.gov by 5 p.m., Sunday, April 5.

City Council meetings can be viewed on Mediacom cable channels 15.1, 22 and 80 and AT&T Uverse channel 99, or viewed online at Cityview.springfieldmo.gov/livestream. The meetings are also livestreamed on the @CityofSgf Facebook page.
