TEXAS AND WRIGHT COUNTIES... AT 345 PM CST...THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION INDICATED THAT MINOR FLOODING CONTINUED ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. NUMEROUS SMALL STREAMS HAD SWOLLEN OUT OF THEIR BANKS AND FLOODED LOW LYING AREAS. A FEW STATE HIGHWAYS REMAINED FLOODED...WHILE LOW WATER CROSSINGS ACROSS THE AREA ARE ALSO INUNDATED. NO ADDITIONAL RAIN IS EXPECTED...THEREFORE...STREAMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FALLING THROUGH TONIGHT. RUNOFF FROM THIS HEAVY RAINFALL IS CAUSING MINOR FLOODING. CREEKS... STREAMS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLOODING. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
