Tornado warning issued for Camden, Dallas, Hickory counties

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN CAMDEN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...
  NORTHWESTERN DALLAS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
  EASTERN HICKORY COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 215 PM CDT

* AT 142 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
  TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR URBANA...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

  HAZARD...TORNADO AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

  SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.

  IMPACT...FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT
           SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. DAMAGE
           TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE DAMAGE IS
           LIKELY.

* THIS DANGEROUS STORM WILL BE NEAR...
  TUNAS AROUND 200 PM CDT.
  BRANCH AROUND 205 PM CDT.
  MACKS CREEK AND CLIMAX SPRINGS AROUND 210 PM CDT.
  ROACH AND BARNUMTON AROUND 215 PM CDT.

THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES HA HA TONKA STATE PARK...LAKE OF THE
OZARKS...POMME DE TERRE LAKE AND POMME DE TERRE STATE PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW. MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF A
STURDY BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF IN A MOBILE HOME...A VEHICLE OR
OUTDOORS...MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND PROTECT
YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS.

TO REPORT SEVERE WEATHER CONTACT YOUR NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.
THEY WILL SEND YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN
SPRINGFIELD.
