Springfield Police searching for missing, endangered woman

The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an endangered missing person.

Jessica Hahn, 40, is 6-foot and 90 pounds with blonde hair, blue eyes and light complexion. Hahn was last seen on March 16 around 1 a.m., in the 900 block of S. South. Hahn indicated she wanted to seek mental health treatment at Mercy Hospital, but has not been heard from since that time.

Hahn left driving a gray 2014 Acura RDX with temporary tag, MO:06VR1V. The vehicle was low on fuel when Hahn left and she did not have the means to purchase additional fuel.

There is concern for her well-being.

Springfield man killed in SUV-electric bike collision

On March 5, 2024, at 8:02 a.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash at National and Guinevere involving a sporty-utility vehicle and a man on a pedal assist electric bike.

John Teters, 45, from Springfield, was driving a white 2020 Ford EcoSport westbound on Guinevere at National. Jerry Walker, 84, from Springfield, was crossing National east toward Guinevere on a pedal assist electric bike. Teters hit Walker in the intersection. Walker was transported to the hospital.

Walker died on March 11, 2024, from injuries sustained in the crash. Walker’s family has been notified.

The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.

This was Springfield’s fourth fatal motor vehicle crash in 2024.

Motorcyclist killed in crash on North Glenstone

On March 11, 2024, at 6:14 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle in the 2500 block of North Glenstone Ave.

Edward Smith, 18, of Springfield, was driving a blue and white 2011 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Glenstone when a blue 2019 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 60-year-old Kim Burbaugh, of Flemington, turned from northbound Glenstone into Smith’s path. The vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of Glenstone.

Smith died at the scene and Smith’s family has been notified.

The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.

This was Springfield’s third fatal motor vehicle crash in Springfield in 2024.
