Arrest made following Vernon County shooting, victim in critical condition

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office responded to a shots fired call in the Montevallo area on 12/22/2025. After arriving on scene sheriff deputies were able to secure a suspect. It was determined that there was a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was treated from Vernon County Ambulance District and life flighted from the scene. 

The suspect in custody was taken to the Vernon County Sheriff's Office and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold pending charges. 

A probable cause affidavit was sent to the Vernon County Prosecuting Attorney. The prosecuting attorney filed charges for the following.

Gransdbury is currently being held at the Vernon County jail with No Bond.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
