Parks update• Springfield-Greene County Park Board Director Bob Belote invites everyone to the Customer Appreciation and Masters Kick Off event from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, at Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course. Admission is free, and there will be prizes, contests, anddemonstrations.
• The new boardwalk at Dickerson Park Zoo opens Friday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m., and the first family selected to cross it will win a prize. Contestants were asked to share a story of a special memory with their family at the Zoo to be considered.
Speaking of Police, congratulations are in order for the Springfield Police Department team who won the recent Battle of the Badges basketballgame between the Springfield Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. The game raised about $10,000 for Big Brothers/BigSisters.
Art MuseumSpringfield Art Museum will open a new exhibit: American Impressionism: The Lure of the Artists’ Colony on Saturday, April 8. Everyone isinvited to attend the opening reception from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7.

2017 MouthMobile Tour
Thank you American Legion Post 639 for partnering with Aspen Dental to bring the MouthMobile, a dental office on wheels, to Springfieldtomorrow to give veterans free dental care. Dentists and teams from Aspen Dental will treat urgent dental needs and provide patients witheducational materials. The event takes place 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Mediacom Ice Park, 635 E. Trafficway.
