Springfield Public Schools implements visitor management program for all buildings to increase safety

The newly-implemented Springfield Public Schools system to handle all visitors in all buildings is explained in this YouTube video posted today by the district.

The system includes waiting to be buzzed in before entering a building, presenting identification and having it scanned and searched through a national database, issuance of a one-day visitor badge that must be worn at all times and then returned at the end of the visit.
