The Springfield Police Department was dispatched to a house in the 3200 block of S. Greenbrier Ave. at 7 p.m. Thursday after relatives reported difficulties making contact with the residents.
Police entered the house to discover Gary Tyrrell, 60, and Jan Tyrrell, 61, deceased. The case is being investigated as a double homicide.

Autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause of death. No further information regarding this investigation is available at this time.
